Popular Home Design Trends of 2024
Every year, there are new ideas and trends that we see adopted into home design. Here are some of the trends we've seen last throughout 2024, with the potential to go strong in 2025.
- Texture: Many home designers and homeowners alike are looking to add more interest to areas you wouldn't expect such as on walls. Moulding or other texture methods such as lime washing are popular methods to give that added element of appeal.
- Arches & Curves: Arches & curves are back in a big way both architecturally and in interior design. Arched doorways, and curved furniture such as chairs, cabinets, and more add a soft and organic element to homes that soften our living experiences.
- The both/and floorplan:Increasing in-home separation of work and leisure has moved home design into a hybrid phase where multipurpose spaces are desired. Home designers are getting creative in providing multipurpose spaces for all home sizes. For example, a hallway can become an office space with a built-in desk and chair for those who lack the space elsewhere.
